Basil Darby, Lead Remote Sensing Scientist
Basil Darby is a physical oceanographer specializing in high resolution ocean modeling and advanced oceanographic instrumentation, with experience developing regional models through the MITgcm framework. With a strong background in physics, astrophysics, and computational analysis, he brings deep technical expertise in numerical modeling and environmental data processing. At Marnova, Basil leads our remote sensing and forecasting efforts, driving the development of our Sargassum prediction models and strengthening our satellite based capabilities.
